The Turkish Statistics Authority reported that more than 105,476 apartments were sold nationwide in March 2023, a 32% increase in real estate sales for the entire country. Istanbul continues to hold the top spot among the Turkish states.
According to statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Authority TUIK, 105,476 apartments were sold in Turkey during March this year. An increase of 31.79% over the previous months’ apartment sales nationwide.
It’s important to note that during the first three months of this year, 283,215 apartments were sold throughout Turkey, according to statistical data.
Istanbul Ranked 1st place in the number of Turkish Real Estate Sales in March 2023
With a sales rate of 18,166 apartments, or 17.2% of all apartment sales in Turkey in March 2023, Istanbul ranked first among the Turkish states that sold the most apartments during March of this year, according to the data.
Ankara, the capital of Turkey, came in second after Istanbul with 12,023 apartment sales, or 11.4% of all sales. Followed by Antalya with 6,120 apartment sales, or 5.8% of all apartment sales in Turkey.
New Apartment Sales amounted to 32,899 Apartments
When compared to the previous month, new apartment sales in March of this year increased by 40% to 32,899 units. Totaling 32,899 units.
In Turkey, during the third month of this year, 31.2% of all sales of residential apartments were for brand-new apartments.
The number of used apartments sold in March of this year totaled 72,577 units. A 28.3% increase over the previous month’s used apartment sales.
68.8% of all residential apartments sold in Turkey during the third month of this year were used apartments, according to the percentage sold during the aforementioned month.
